Maggie Cora
Intern (2023)
Hello!
My name is Maggie Cora and I am a recent graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. While there I was a member of the women’s basketball team, and I majored in Psychology as well as Sport Management. I am currently in the process of obtaining my Master's Degree in Exercise Science Health Promotion with a concentration in Sport Psychology from Pennwest University. My dream is to one day become a Sport Psychologist!
My dream to become a Sport Psychologist started when I tore my ACL while playing basketball in high school. At the time I didn’t know the Lord was preparing for me to share my experiences with the people I would encounter later in my life. I have had my own struggles when it comes to the mental part of sports and looking back on my own career, my mind was definitely my biggest opponent at times. I would love to be able to use my experiences as well as expertise to help athletes overcome their biggest obstacles. The biggest blessing of my sports career was having the Lord right next to me through it all, and my goal is to help athletes reach their full potential while growing in their faith with God.
I’m grateful that the Lord has placed this profession in my heart and has provided me with this opportunity to learn and grow as a future Sport Psychologist. I am so excited to work with as well as learn from Matt from both a professional aspect as well as a faith aspect.
A note about Maggie:
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the invaluable contribution of Maggie. Her passion for working with athletes was evident, and her courage in sharing her faith was truly inspiring. She brought a unique energy to the team, and we were fortunate to have her.
