Biblical Counseling

We offer biblically rooted counseling to help you find healing, freedom, hope, and lasting change through the transforming power of God's Word and the Holy Spirit.

maddy's story

I first discovered biblical counseling during a season marked by deep anxiety, depression, and unanswered prayers. In His kindness, God used biblical counseling to draw me to the life-changing power and sufficiency of His Word. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, I found lasting hope, genuine peace, and true freedom in Jesus Christ. What began as one of the hardest seasons of my life became the place where God brought healing, transformation, and lasting change.

From that experience, the Lord gave me a deep desire to walk alongside other women and help them experience the same hope and freedom that can only be found in Christ.

I earned my Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and have been certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) since 2023.

Before transitioning into biblical counseling full-time, I served for ten years in collegiate ministry at the University of Kansas, where I had the privilege of mentoring, discipling, teaching, and counseling college women as they navigated some of life's most formative years.

What do you believe?

I believe that every person is created in the image of God and that our greatest need is reconciliation with Him through Jesus Christ. Because of Christ's perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, there is forgiveness for sin, hope for the hurting, and lasting transformation for all who place their faith in Him.

I believe the Bible is God's inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word, providing everything we need for life, godliness, and spiritual growth. My counseling is rooted in the conviction that God uses His Word, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to bring lasting hope, healing, and transformation. Everything I do in counseling flows from these convictions.

Are sessions virtual?

All sessions are virtual and are 60 minutes. (Sessions can be shorted to 40 minutes for teens).

We typically meet weekly or bi-weekly.

What issues/topics do you help with?

I counsel women through a variety of life challenges, including anxiety, fear, worry, depression, grief, relationship struggles, identity, singleness, marriage concerns, spiritual growth, life transitions, stress, and questions about faith. If you're unsure whether biblical counseling is the right fit, I'd be happy to talk with you.

What can I expect from a session?

Each session is a safe, confidential conversation where we'll listen carefully to your story, explore what God's Word says about your situation, and discuss practical ways to apply biblical truth to everyday life. My goal is to walk alongside you with grace, compassion, and hope.

Do I have to be a Christian?

No. You do not have to be a Christian to receive counseling. Everyone is welcome. Because my counseling is rooted in the Bible, our conversations will be centered on Scripture and the hope found in Christ.

How is biblical counseling different from therapy?

Biblical counseling is centered on God's Word as the ultimate source of truth, hope, and lasting change. While professional therapy often draws from psychological theories and clinical approaches, biblical counseling seeks to understand life's struggles through the lens of Scripture and points people to the hope, wisdom, and transforming power of Jesus Christ.

How much do sessions cost?

$50 per 60-minute session. My desire is to make biblical counseling accessible, so if cost is a hardship, please don't hesitate to reach out. $30 for shortened sessions. Payments are due at the time of your session.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is important. Everything shared during counseling is kept confidential, with the exception of situations where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect someone's safety.
